Top News | Gary Moore Dies
Former Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore has died age 58, the BBC reports.
Adam Parsons, who manages Thin Lizzy, told the BBC that Mr Moore had died in the early hours of Sunday morning (local time).
The Belfast-born guitarist was drafted into Thin Lizzy by singer/bassist Phil Lynott to replace the departing Eric Bell. Moore also worked with Lynott on the singer's solo projects.
Mr Bell told the BBC on Sunday he was "in shock" at Mr Moore's death.
"He was so robust, he wasn't a rock casualty, he was a healthy guy.
"He was a superb player and a dedicated musician."
Moore embarked on a successful solo career outside Thin Lizzy, with albums such as After The War (1989) and Still Got The Blues (1990) showcasing his fluid blues-rock playing.
